Visitors guide to the Library: Walk-in access Exeter online resources at Penryn Campus

What is walk-in access?

'Walk-in access' allows members of the public and members of other Institutions visiting the library premises to access a range of online resources.  The range available is dictated by publishers licenses. These resources must not be used for commercial or business purposes. 

This service is available at Penryn Campus Library during staffed hours, Mon-Fri 09:00-21:00 and weekends 10:00-18.00.

Below is a list of resource available to Exeter walk-in users. These resources can be accessed using the Exeter Walk-in access PC at Penryn Campus. Please note that printing is not available so bring a USB memory stick if you wish to save your research. How to save your work!

Registering for walk-in access

Please email library@fxplus.ac.uk to book an appointment to use the Exeter Walk-in access resources. In addition you will need to fill in the online Copyright and Permitted Usage Form here before coming in.

Before you visit

Search the Library Catalogue and make a list of the online resources that you would like to access.  Please note that some electronic resources (i.e. Financial Times, i-Law, Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, some e-books or some e-journals) will not be available using this service because of license restrictions. 

After your initial visit, if you wish to visit again please email library@fxplus.ac.uk

When you visit

  • Sign in at the Compass helpdesk in the Library
  • Provide one form of ID for access.
  • We are unable to offer print facilities at the current time
  • Copyright law applies to e-resources
  • Use the resources responsibly and respect copyright and licensing
